Identity Management & Okta Specialist

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Identity Management & Okta Specialist with significant experience designing, implementing, and supporting identity and access management solutions. This role will focus heavily on Okta administration, user lifecycle management, authentication, and access governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Okta identity platform.
- Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, groups, roles, and access policies.
- Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Integrate Okta with enterprise applications and directories.
- Support identity lifecycle management and access certification processes.
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and user-access issues.
- Help develop and enforce identity management standards and security best practices.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
- Monitor identity-related activity and assist with security investigations and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Significant professional experience in identity and access management.
- Hands-on experience administering Okta in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
- Familiarity with directory services such as Active Directory or Azure Active Directory.
- Understanding of identity governance, access controls, and security principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Okta certifications, such as Okta Certified Administrator.
- Experience with Okta Workflows, Lifecycle Management, or Universal Directory.
- Familiarity with SCIM provisioning and API integrations.
- Experience supporting compliance, audit, or access review activities.
- Scripting or automation experience using tools such as PowerShell or Python.
