What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer / Production Artist position at AdZig?
Overview
AdZig is a successful distributor and decorator of promotional products, apparel and tradeshow displays. In business since 2001, our showroom and decoration facilities are conveniently located on highway 460 near Mount Athos in Lynchburg, VA.
The PRODUCTION ARTIST works on site in the art department and the position entails the following:
- Carefully review every project and prepare artwork
- Proof artwork to appropriate parties and initiate production of orders with the factory.
- Communicate with all parties on artwork specific to each project. This includes the factory, customer and the AdZig sales representative by email and or phone
- Follows established procedures
- Prepares virtual images and preliminary artwork for sales representatives upon request
- Maintains accurate job records of final approved graphics for every projects
- Responsible for archiving and updating graphic records
It is important to note that most customers supply their logo along with branding guidelines that must be adhered to. The products being decorated are sourced from many different suppliers with decoration methods and limitations that vary by product and equipment used. There are more technical than creative design aspects to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years’ experience working in a similar position or holds a Graphic Design Certificate or Associates Degree in Graphic Design
- Expert in Adobe Illustrator
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong professional communication skills both verbal and written for business.
- Highly accurate, focused, organized and detailed.
- Completes tasks thoroughly and consistantly
Pay: $31,200.00 - $36,400.00 per year
