Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm

 

The Center Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serves as a key operational and clinical support role within the ABA Center, partnering closely with the Senior ABA Operations Manager and clinical leadership team to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the Worcester center. This position supports scheduling, administrative processes, operational adherence, and center-based activities while helping to create a positive, supportive, and family-centered environment for learners and their families.

Designed for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician seeking leadership development opportunities, the Center Lead RBT maintains a direct-service caseload while serving as an important liaison between families, center staff, and clinical leadership. The role provides operational oversight and coverage during morning and early midday clinic hours and delivers scheduled direct ABA services during afternoon programming.

The Center Lead RBT collaborates with clinical leadership to support staff onboarding, training, and mentorship, helping new team members integrate successfully into the center environment. In partnership with the Senior ABA Operations Manager and clinical team, this position promotes operational efficiency, supports adherence to organizational policies and procedures, and assists in the planning and implementation of structured, enriching activities that promote learner engagement and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Center Operations & Administrative Support

  • Support the Senior ABA Operations Manager and clinical leadership in the day-to-day operations of the ABA Center to ensure efficient, safe, and family-centered service delivery.
  • Coordinate staff and learner scheduling to optimize clinical productivity, learner access, and family satisfaction.
  • Identify operational challenges and workflow inefficiencies and recommend and implement solutions, within the scope of the role, to improve communication, utilization, and overall center performance.
  • Provide operational oversight and center coverage during designated times, as needed, while maintaining an assigned direct service caseload.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of structured center activities that promote learner engagement and an enriching therapeutic environment.
  • Foster positive team communication, staff engagement, and morale through regular collaboration, updates, and team-building initiatives.
  • Support clinical leadership in preparation for audits, site visits, accreditation reviews, and other quality assurance activities.
  • Track, monitor, and assist in reducing non-billable and non-scheduled hours to support operational and financial performance goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required administrative and operational documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative functions that support effective center management and service delivery.

Staff Support & Team Leadership

  • Serve as an on-site resource and operational liaison among staff, families, clinical leadership, and operations leadership.
  • Model professionalism, accountability, problem-solving, and adherence to organizational values and expectations.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to support the onboarding, mentorship, and development of Registered Behavior Technicians within the scope of the Center Lead RBT role.
  • Assist in maintaining a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team culture focused on quality care and service excellence.

Family & Community Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with learners, families, staff, clinical leadership, operations leadership, and external providers to support safe, coordinated, and effective service delivery.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for families regarding scheduling, attendance, and other non-clinical operational matters.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with families to support a welcoming and family-centered environment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, Human Resources, Recruiting, Finance, and other internal departments to support organizational objectives, as requested and needed.
  • Collaborate with outside providers and systems, including Early Intervention, school districts, and MassHealth, as appropriate and within the scope of the role.

Direct Clinical Service

  • Maintain an assigned caseload and provide direct ABA services in accordance with treatment plans and under the direction of clinical leadership.
  • Provide scheduled direct ABA support during afternoon programming within the clinic.
  • Support the implementation of learner programming and structured activities in collaboration with clinical leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or RBT Credential (required) or, Associate’s Degree (60 credit hours), or High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and other related diagnoses.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with learners, families, staff, clinical leadership, and other stakeholders in support of daily center operations and service delivery.
