Major Responsibilities
Proficiently performs advanced radiologic procedures.
Must perform and be proficient with all of the following procedures if performed at assigned facility which includes general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, pain clinic, GI lab, urology, O-Arm and
C-Arm procedures.
Works independently outside the department with providers.
Accountable for the performance and documentation of all diagnostic procedures utilizing proper technical parameters to produce quality studies.
Adheres to Standards of Behavior at all times.
Understand the operation, technique factors, and idiosyncrasies of function of commonly used radiographic systems in department. Maintains appropriate competencies as defined by the ACR, Established Regulatory Standards, IEMA and ASRT to and not to exclude any other formal regulatory recommended requirements and/or newly revised standards.
Acts as a resource to staff at own facility and throughout the system. Education/Experience Required:
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Addendum: NOTE:
Comply with mandatory DeMedici Computer Program updates;
Maintain CPR Certification; Must maintain professional decorum, and adhere to dress code as required by department; no deviations allowed.

- Collaborates with Surgeons and nursing team to expedite radiology support for surgical cases.
Accountable for the performance and documentation of all diagnostic procedures utilizing proper technical parameters to produce quality studies.
- Positions patient, adjusts equipment, secures immobilization and support devices as needed to perform procedures.
- Identifies each patient correctly prior to an exam procedure being performed, using two forms of identification, as indicated by the established Adovcate Healthcare Time out protocol.
- Communicates effectively using AIDET with patients before, during and after exams to assure their comfort and cooperation.
Adheres to Standards of Behavior at all times.
- Responsible for database entry of appropriate exam charges, starting, completing and verifying each exam for appropriate interpretation by physician upon completion.
- Responsible for maintaining patient privacy while obtaining patient history and any pertinent continuing discussion.
- Adherence to proper handwashing technique at all times.
- Maintains compliance with established safety standards to protect patients and staff at all times.
- Verifies inpatient and outpatient orders as established by the Time Out protocol.
- Uses appropriate lead markers as required
- Obtain consent indicating that patient is not pregnant.

- Operates all radiographic equipment and can select and modify technical factors as needed to optimize image quality with lowest possible dose.
- Checks all equipment on a daily basis, inspects for physical hazards in assigned diagnostic rooms, portable units, c-arms and provides report to the ChargeTechnologist and Clincial Engineering of any malfunctions or hazards.
- Must be able to do job related problem solving such as malfunction of equipment, alternate patient positioning and views, realizing equipment or patient limitations.
Acts as a resource to staff at own facility and throughout the system. Education/Experience Required:
- IEMA License
- ARRT Registration
- 5-7 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Knowledge all areas of general diagnostic radiology
- Associate or certificate of Radiology Technology
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate with associates at all levels, including physicians and administration.
- Good customer relations
- Good leadership skills, including ability to work with others, team building and good interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform all common radiologic procedures
- ARRT Registry within one year employment
- IEMA License
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of all areas of the department
- Able to respond to request to work on short notice
- Flexible in starting times to meet demand
- May require rotating shifts and alternate days
- Willing to work overtime when requested
- Able to periodically take call
- As required, must be able to transport, move, and lift patients

Salary : $27 - $40
