Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Pineville PACU

Where You Will Work: 

Atrium Pineville PACU department cares for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. PACU nurses are responsible for immediate post-operative care of surgical and some procedural patients in “phase I recovery care” and occasionally “phase II” and discharging patients leaving the facility. There are 21 individual patient care bays, access to two medication Omnicells, and a centralized nurse’s station. Teammates work closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and OR staff to deliver excellent care to our patients. Pineville Periop Services consistently has some of the top patient satisfaction scores in all the greater Charlotte area and a high teammate retention rate. We offer a great culture with great leadership support. Leadership structure includes three clinical supervisors, one of which is primarily focused on education, and a unit manager.

  We’re Looking For: 

·        Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing 

·        Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices 

·        Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association  

·        Previous Critical Care, Emergency Department or PACU experience strongly preferred for this role

·        ACLS required

What You’ll Do: 

·        As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.  

·        Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
