Registered Nurse (RN)- Float Pool

Major Responsibilities:

• What You’ll Do:

  As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will provide patient care across multiple units, using the nursing process to assess needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate outcomes to ensure safe, high-quality care. You will engage patients and families in care planning while building therapeutic relationships throughout the continuum.

  You will monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and adjust care plans as needed—collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective, patient-centered care across various clinical settings.

  You will implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety, reduce risk, and enhance outcomes. This includes assessing patient and family readiness to learn and tailoring education to meet individual needs.

  You will coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach while consistently incorporating nursing and regulatory standards into your practice.

  You will evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action to improve care delivery while participating in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives.

  You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, while assuming a leadership role in the care team and delegating appropriately.

  You will promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, reporting safety events, and contributing to corrective actions that prevent patient harm.

  You will apply ethical decision-making, foster respect across disciplines, and contribute to an inclusive, patient-centered care environment.

  You will support ongoing professional development by participating in education, mentorship, and required competencies.

  Schedule Details / Additional Information:

  • Licensure & Certification: RN license in applicable state; BLS (AHA) required

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Experience: Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred

  Physical Requirements:
  Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling, including assisting with transfers. Exposure to clinical environments requiring appropriate protective equipment.
