What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg position at Advocate Aurora Health?
Where You Will Work:
4th Floor Surgery Med Surg Unit is a 45-bed unit that specializes in the safe delivery of comprehensive preoperative and post-operative care as well as adult and geriatric medical care. Eclectic, variety of patients – adults all ages, lots of hip and knee surgery – physical therapy team works closely with RNs try to run floor with a charge nurse that doesn’t have patients – always available, answering questions.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, interventional heart program and physician practices. Over the past 15-plus years our hospital has been serving the Monroe area, and we have worked to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.
