Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Float ICU - Intensive Care Unit
About the Role:
This position is part of our WI Float Pool, where you will have the opportunity to work in various hospitals and facilities within the Aurora Healthcare system. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide holistic patient care and respond to situational changes with confidence, timeliness, and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care and anticipate/alter the plan of care as needed.
- Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety.
- Actively coordinate discharge plans utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.
Requirements:
- 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present and use foot pedals on carts or machines.
