Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for Facility Planning Assignments
Operates, supervises, and manages projects in a professional manner with efficiency.
Coordinate equipment and furniture moves as requested for all properties.
Pre-planning and post-assessment for office and building moves.
Responsible for coordination of furniture deliveries and installations.
Negotiates with contractors to support projects to achieve quality of service for our user departments and minimizes errors during the project.
Contacts, negotiates with vendors on contracts and quotes for goods and services.
Conducts market research, product research, product evaluations and coordinates with user departments.
Coordinates with other departments to determine needs to support project functions
Assists in maintaining computer system files.
Reviews, updates data in computer system with requests, assignments, locations within segments and modules for daily work assignments.
Responsible for communication with others effectively and timely and use good organizational skills to maximize productivity.
Perform logistical communication with deliveries and staging for new equipment and installations.
Demonstrates good telephone manners and effective communication skills.
Effectively utilizes time & resources to maintain high level of productivity.
Demonstrates good organizational skills.
Assures that Facilities Planning Manager and/or Director is informed of issues concerning department.
Coordinates problems & issues pertaining to department with Facilities Planning Manager and/or Director.
Responsible for good decision making when appropriate.
Demonstrates ability to exercise independent judgment in times of need and emergency situations.
Maintain ongoing contract management and compliance of the following: outside contracted support for moves and transfers of equipment and furniture, Document destruction, Furniture/Remodeling and facility standardization, Pest Control, Facility floral management, and disposition of decommissioned and surplus items from hospital inventory/equipment.
Supports needs of the Plant Facilities Team as appropriate.

Education Required:
High school diploma required.
Work Experience Required:
One-year on-the-job training or similar experience in an allied field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Basic computer skills in Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, has a commitment to customer service.
Communicates effectively with all applicable customers and age groups.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobile within entire facilities, which requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, crawling, squatting and kneeling.
Frequent use of computer and telephone.
Frequent reading and research.
Occasional lifting of 25 lb. or more
Preferred Job Requirements
Preferred Certification/License/Registration
Healthcare design & construction certifications preferred.
Preferred Education
Associates degree preferred, or 2-3 years of related experience highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
Healthcare design & construction experience preferred.
