As one of the largest HPB programs in the country, we use the latest surgical techniques and technologies to help you get the best possible results. Because these are often highly complicated cases affecting multiple organs, our team, specializing in HPB surgery, works hand-in-hand with experts in other medical specialties, including oncologists, gastroenterologists, therapeutic endoscopists, interventional radiologists, and hepatologists. This allows us to provide you with specialized and complete care.
We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer focused teammate to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizations skills, effective communication, critical thinking and a commitment to excellent patient service while navigating complex insurance and authorization processes.
Essential Functions
- Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices and/or departments.
- May coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients.
- Obtains all authorizations needed.
- Directs patients to providers in their insurance plan.
- Reviews benefits and educates patient on insurance coverage.
- Coordinates and schedules surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers.
- Reviews schedules and confirms schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced office environment. Should be able to bend and lift up to 10 lbs.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Strong computer, communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes would be helpful, but not necessarily required.
