Job Summary and General Duties:
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all sanitation activities to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines. This role manages a team of sanitation personnel, coordinates cleaning schedules, and ensures that all equipment and facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Supervise and lead the sanitation team to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.
- Develop and implement sanitation procedures in compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and HACCP standards.
- Schedule and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks for production areas and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify sanitation effectiveness and compliance.
- Train and coach team members on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, chemical usage, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related issues.
- Ensure proper inventory and storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Investigate and address any sanitation-related non-conformances or corrective actions.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in sanitation within food manufacturing or related industry.
- 1 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
