What are the responsibilities and job description for the COMMUNITY SERVICES SPECIALIST - PART TIME position at Advocacy Alliance?
We are seeking part-time dedicated Community Services Specialists for our Scranton office to support our Consumer Family Satisfaction Team (CFST) and Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q) programs throughout Lackawanna County and the surrounding region.
At The Advocacy Alliance, we bring together individuals who receive mental health or developmental disability services, their family members, and committed community volunteers. These teams work collaboratively to strengthen and continuously improve the quality of services and supports available to those who depend on them.
We especially welcome applicants with lived experience — individuals who have received mental health services themselves, or family members of someone who has. Your insight and perspective are invaluable to our mission.
General Description:
- Recruiting, interviewing, screening, training, matching, and monitoring of volunteers for CFST/IM4Q and other special projects;
- Communicating with developmental disabilities and mental health professionals and family members;
- Scheduling and completing CFST and IM4Q surveys;
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with individuals with developmental disabilities;
- Assisting in in-services, trainings, and education workshops;
- Maintaining relationships with referral sources, volunteers, consumers, families, and professionals; and
- Other duties as assigned.
