Role Description The Medical Device Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for driving sales of orthopedic implants and related surgical technologies by building and maintaining relationships with surgeons, clinical staff, and hospital decision-makers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting product demonstrations, providing in-person case support in the operating room, educating clinical teams on product features and benefits, and identifying new business opportunities. The role also involves managing a sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding revenue targets, performing territory planning, and delivering timely reporting and market feedback to internal stakeholders. The representative collaborates closely with marketing, clinical, and support teams to ensure exceptional customer service and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Medical Sales and general Sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of Orthopedics, including orthopedic procedures, implants, and related clinical workflows.
- Comfort working in the Operating Room environment and collaborating with surgeons and clinical staff.
- Understanding of Medicine fundamentals sufficient to discuss products confidently with healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships and manage a sales territory independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, business, healthcare) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in medical device sales or healthcare sales is highly beneficial; orthopedic device experience is a strong plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Charlotte, NC area and surrounding territory as needed.
