ABOUT ADVISOR WEALTH MANAGEMENT
Advisor Wealth Management is a modern, technology-forward wealth management firm built around a simple idea: people deserve a trusted financial partner who can help them make better decisions throughout their lives.
We bring financial planning, investment management, tax optimization, and personal tax preparation and filing together under one roof, giving clients a more integrated approach to managing and building their wealth.
We're a close-knit, entrepreneurial team that combines experienced financial professionals with modern technology to deliver a highly personalized client experience at scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Wealth Advisor — New Client Acquisition is responsible for turning qualified inbound prospects into long-term AWM clients.
This is a sales-oriented wealth advisory role for an experienced financial professional who understands that the best financial sales conversations begin with good advice.
AWM has built its own marketing engine that generates high-quality, high-intent prospective clients who are actively seeking professional financial advice. Our dedicated BDR team engages with these prospects, qualifies their interest, and schedules introductory meetings directly onto your calendar.
You won't be responsible for cold calling, purchasing lists, or building a prospecting pipeline from scratch.
Instead, you'll spend your time doing what great advisors do best: meeting with people who have already raised their hand, understanding their financial lives, providing meaningful perspective, and helping them determine whether AWM is the right partner for them.
You will own the relationship from the initial consultation through the prospect's decision to become an AWM client.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prospect Engagement & Financial Discovery
• Conduct scheduled introductory and discovery meetings with high-intent prospective clients.
• Quickly establish trust and credibility with successful professionals, executives, and families.
• Develop a deep understanding of each prospect's financial situation, goals, concerns, and decision-making priorities.
• Identify planning, investment, tax, and wealth management opportunities through thoughtful discovery.
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
Financial Expertise & New Client Development
• Use your financial expertise as a core part of the client acquisition process—not simply as a product pitch.
• Demonstrate how AWM's integrated approach to planning, investments, and tax can address the prospect's broader financial needs.
• Clearly communicate the value of ongoing professional advice and help prospects understand where AWM can improve their financial decision-making.
• Confidently guide qualified prospects through the decision-making process and convert them into long-term clients.
• Recognize when AWM is not the right fit and prioritize the quality of the client relationship over simply closing a sale.
Sales Process & Relationship Management
• Own the prospect relationship from the initial consultation through engagement and onboarding.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects throughout their decision-making process.
• Manage an organized pipeline and consistently move qualified opportunities forward.
• Become comfortable discussing objections, questions, timing, and the prospect's decision process.
• Partner with the Head of Sales, BDR team, and advisory team to continuously improve the prospect experience and conversion process.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and client experience at every stage.
Client Transition & Onboarding
• Ensure a seamless transition from prospect to AWM client.
• Clearly communicate next steps and set expectations for the client relationship.
• Collaborate with Client Operations and the advisory team to ensure new clients are fully onboarded and positioned for success.
• Capture insights from the sales process that can improve marketing, lead qualification, and the overall client experience.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an experienced wealth advisor who is equally comfortable providing financial advice and developing new client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 5 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a similar advisory role.
• A demonstrated track record of successfully converting prospective clients into long-term relationships.
• Experience conducting discovery meetings, presenting financial recommendations, and asking for the business.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, investments, retirement planning, tax considerations, and wealth management.
• The ability to establish credibility quickly and communicate complex financial concepts in a simple, compelling way.
• A consultative, relationship-driven approach to sales.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A high level of organization and follow-through.
• Comfort working in a technology-forward, fast-moving environment.
• A genuine interest in helping people make better financial decisions.
Experience in an RIA or fiduciary environment is strongly preferred.
CFP® certification is preferred but not required.
LICENSING
• Series 65 or Series 66 required.
• Series 7 preferred.
• Additional professional designations are a plus.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role means consistently turning qualified prospects into great AWM clients while delivering an exceptional experience along the way.
You will be measured on both new client acquisition and the quality of the relationships you create, including:
• Introductory meetings conducted
• Prospect-to-client conversion
• Pipeline progression and follow-up
• New client acquisition
• Client experience and retention
• Quality of financial discovery and recommendations
• Collaboration with the broader AWM team
WHY AWM
Great Prospects. No Cold Calling.
One of the biggest differences between this role and a traditional advisor position is where your opportunities come from.
AWM has invested heavily in building its own marketing engine, generating high-quality, high-intent prospects who are actively looking for financial advice.
Our BDR team engages those prospects and schedules qualified introductory meetings directly onto your calendar.
That means you can spend less time hunting for opportunities and more time meeting with great prospects, providing great advice, and developing new client relationships.
A More Complete Advice Offering
Our advisors don't have to refer clients out for every aspect of their financial lives.
AWM brings financial planning, investment management, tax optimization, and personal tax preparation and filing together under one roof, allowing advisors to take a more comprehensive view of each client's financial picture.
Technology-Forward
We use technology to make the client experience better—not to replace the advisor.
Our technology platform allows our team to deliver sophisticated planning and wealth management while maintaining the personal relationship and accessibility clients expect from a trusted advisor.
Close-Knit Team
We're building a high-performing team where advisors work closely with sales, client operations, tax professionals, and leadership.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how we sell, advise, onboard, and ultimately serve clients as the firm continues to grow.
You'll thrive at AWM if you're:
• An advisor first, but comfortable selling.
• Motivated by building relationships and winning new clients.
• Confident enough in your financial expertise to lead a conversation rather than follow a script.
• Curious about how technology can improve the client experience.
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable in a growing organization.
• Competitive, but never at the expense of doing what's right for the client.
• Energized by working alongside a close-knit team.
• Excited by the opportunity to help build something rather than simply inherit a book of business.
If you're an experienced advisor who enjoys meeting new people, solving financial problems, and turning strong relationships into long-term clients, this role is designed for you.
COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary plus performance-based compensation tied to new client acquisition and overall success in the role.
