Overview
Position engaged in raising awareness and teaching Medicare beneficiaries, their family members, and caregivers how to prevent, detect, and report Medicare fraud.
This is a work-from-home position, but some travel is required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct brief presentations and provide one-on-one counseling with Medicare beneficiaries.
- Conduct presentations to providers, stakeholders, and other interested groups or programs, and participate in related conferences, events, exhibits as necessary.
- Conduct environmental scans of the community to determine appropriate venues and activities for presentation of SMP materials.
- Assists volunteers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service.
- Participate in teams, task forces, workgroups, and special projects as requested by supervisor.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes, and financial performance, e.g. expense management. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: 4-year college degree in business, humanities, or other related field; or 2-5 years experience in community development activities and public speaking preferred.
- Special Skills: Culturally connected with the local community. Must be able to use basic computer programs such as Word and Excel, and be comfortable with internet communication and research.
- Drivers License required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Physical: Moderate physical activity to include occasionally moving, lifting, or pulling up to 25lbs. Normal manual dexterity and mental and visual attention.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.80 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
