HR Operations Specialist - High-Growth pre-IPO Fintech - $90-125k Bonus
A rapidly growing fintech company is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to join its HR team and support a broad range of employee lifecycle initiatives. This role is rooted in exposure across payroll and benefits.
The organization is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a highly organized, service-oriented professional who enjoys improving processes, supporting employees, and helping build scalable HR infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of the HR Operations team, supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, payroll, HR policies, and general HR Operations matters
- Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, open enrollment, and ongoing employee support
- Support payroll administration and partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Assist with the company's migration to ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and help improve HR and payroll processes as the organization scales
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, background checks, and I-9 verification
- Support HR compliance initiatives, audits, reporting, and employment documentation across multiple states
- Partner with Finance, external vendors, brokers, and payroll providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Assist with employee communications, policy administration, and HR team projects
- Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance the employee experience
- Support HR reporting, workforce data management, and ad hoc HR Operations initiatives as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working within HR, Benefits, and Payroll
- Payroll experience, including exposure to NY and CA payroll regulations preferred
- Experience with payroll system implementations or migrations strongly preferred
- ADP Workforce Now experience highly preferred
- Benefits administration experience, including working with brokers and benefits transitions
- Prior experience within financial services or high-growth startup environments strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating in lean, fast-paced organizations with high expectations and evolving processes
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and operational follow-through
- Hands-on mentality with willingness to roll up sleeves as needed
Base Salary: $90-125k base bonus and benefits
