As a Cashier, you’ll be one of the first people customers interact with, creating a welcoming experience while accurately processing purchases and assisting with questions. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Process cash, credit card, debit card, and digital payments accurately.
- Scan merchandise and ensure pricing is correct.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and store credits according to company policies.
- Answer customer questions and provide product or store information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area.
- Bag purchases carefully and efficiently.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and keeping the sales floor tidy as needed.
- Follow all cash-handling and loss prevention procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- No experience required—paid training provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
