Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Camp Assistant to join our dynamic team at our North Dallas location. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our camp programs, ensuring a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for all children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive environment that promotes childhood development, creativity, and fun.
Duties
- Assist with supervising children during camp activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times
- Support classroom management by helping organize activities, games, and crafts aligned with developmental goals
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to respond effectively to minor injuries or emergencies
- Collaborate with staff to create inclusive experiences tailored for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges
- Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation of play areas, toys, and equipment in accordance with health standards
- Support the planning and execution of themed events, sports activities, or theatrical performances during camp sessions
Experience
- Enthusiastic, High energy Individual who loves children and wants to help them have a memorable summer camp experience.
- Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to child safety and enjoyment
