Responsibilities
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and daily routines
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
- Ensure compliance with early childhood education standards and childcare regulations
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Demonstrated experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience planning engaging activities tailored to different age groups and developmental stages
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and CPR certification to respond confidently in emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
