Reports any malfunction to supervisor. Opens trailer, inspects that shore bar and strap are properly installed according to established procedures, corrects if needed. Transports clean and soiled linen on linen carts to and from one or more locations following driving protocol for shifting loads. Reports any accident, no matter how small, as soon as it happens. Drives in a safe, careful manner, including idling tractor and trailer in 1st or 2nd gear over all curbs and speed bumps. Loads and unloads trailer/truck when required, ensuring that all linen carts are delivered are returned. Reports any discrepancies upon return to the laundry. Maintains established schedule coordinated with Environmental Services to facilitate the most efficient delivery. Checks in with Laundry Assistant on dock for trailers to be moved upon return from each run. Spots trailers, checks for proper distance from dock, and adjusts landing gear for correct trailer level. Completes all items in the daily driver log and, soiled return reports and accurately scales returned linen into the linen management software.
