The role you’ll contribute:
As the Patient Advocate will be designated as the first responder and resource on behalf of AdventHealth Zephyrhills Administration for patients and families who may have questions, complaints or grievances that need addressing.
As the Risk Manager (RM) will provide various supports for Risk Management relative to but not limited to review of Origami Events for accuracy, various RM and business object reports, and review and maintains legal and insurance record request, scheduling and correspondence as indicated.
As the Corporate Responsibility Associate (CRA) will be the contact for corporate responsibility activities at the local facility, AdventHealth Zephyrhills and assists the Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer in the operationalization of the corporate responsibility of AdventHealth. Job responsibilities include assisting with the monitoring and auditing process, corporate responsibility meeting documentation and investigations.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Patient Advocate:
- As the Patient Advocate, triages and identifies appropriate resources and support for addressing and resolution of complaint/grievance using complaint/grievance protocol.
- Responsible for Maintaining Complaint/Grievance log resulting from patient/family advocacy outcome.
- Chairs and oversees the management of the facility Patient Grievances and Complaints Committee
- Risk Manager:
- Reviews Origami events for accuracy and provides support with Origami access to designated leadership.
- Reviews daily reports for potential Origami events and potential compensatory events (PCE)
- Assist with the preparation of various RM related reports; Business Object - departmental, AdventHealth Zephyrhills Board, Ad Com, AHS, etc.
- Assist with claims management including legal discovery, scheduling of depositions, and maintenance of legal, medical and insurance records as required.
- Sequesters and maintains a log of equipment involved in sentinel events
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Life skills or Healthcare regulatory or financial experience.
- Active certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
- Florida Notary Public within one year of hire
- Exceptional people skills and willingness to problem solve as needed
- Exceptional communication skills, at all levels of the organization
- Maintains Confidentiality
- Skilled with formatting of data for various presentations
