- Rounds and assesses patient care units to evaluate patient conditions, identify staffing needs, and provide support to caregivers.
- Advises and directs nursing personnel, responds to Code Blue situations, and manages clinical emergencies.
- Acts as liaison for patient movement and bed assignments, promoting cost-effective management of staffing, equipment, and supplies.
*Represents nursing administration during off-shifts, authorizes consent or treatment during admissions, and serves as incident commander for disasters. *Provides direction and collaborates with hospital leadership during significant events, including organizational codes and system downtimes.
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Master's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 2 years leadership experience as an assistant nurse manager and/or nurse manager or equivalent (i.e. charge nurse, chair nursing practice council, cn3, cn4) [Preferred]
- 2 years staff nurse experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
