The role you'll contribute:

This position represents the first contact a client company or patient have with Occupational Health Services. Monitors and answers multiple phone lines. Schedules appointments for physicals, worker's compensation patients and nurse visits Performs the duties associated with identification of all patients who enter the Occupational Health Service clinic, verification of workers' compensation coverage and authorization to treat for individuals presenting with request for treatment of job-related illness or injury. Prepare patient record according to the type of visit scheduled, including use of Systoc database and the hospital's patient registration system. Monitors open encounters and discharges encounters when applicable. Oversight of the lobby to include monitoring of wait-times, observance of patients presenting for urine drug screens who provide inappropriate specimens, insuring patient comfort/satisfaction in the lobby setting, and obtaining clinical staff promptly if patient's condition warrants.

Provides back up to all front office positions; check in, check out, and medical records.

Provides data and assistance Account Representative.

Communicates in a cordial, professional manner with patients via phone and in person to meet the patients needs as soon as possible.

Sets up office for daily operation by turning on computers, ensuring schedules are printed, and retrieving voice mail messages.

Prepares charts for next day including registration and paperwork sent by employer.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
