Certified Surgical Technician

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Orthopedic ASC

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The CST will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures, primarily focused on orthopedic specialties including total joint replacements, sports medicine, podiatry, spine surgeries, and pain management interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in turnover and cleaning of operating rooms between cases.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic surgery preferred; experience in total joints, spine, and pain procedures is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures specific to orthopedics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ASC environment with a focus on efficiency and patient safety.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, team-oriented ASC setting.
• Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
