Job Description
- Assisting and Caring for Others -- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Documenting/Recording Information -- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates -- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work -- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment.
- Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
- Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Responds to all Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performs other duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Patient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per hospital needs. [Required]
Education:
- Associate [Required]
Field of Study:
- In Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science
Work Experience:
- 1 critical care experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- State Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
- NBRC Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
Pay: $22.88 - $42.54 per hour
