Demonstrates clinical competence in relevant areas of surgery with a concentration in their specific service line. Establishes collaborative alliances and promotes teamwork among staff and functional team members. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, and documents information accurately. Manages stressful and emotionally charged situations with calm and focus. Develops positive working relationships with staff and other team members. Demonstrates strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Applies critical thinking skills with a strong customer and patient focus. Utilizes basic computer knowledge and MS Office applications (Word, Excel). Acts as a peer resource and mentor for the service line, training new staff in specialty. Creates and updates preference cards for surgical procedures. Maintains knowledge of current regulatory standards and service line practices. Performs other duties as assigned.- Strong physician/surgeon relationship skills and team mentality [Required]
- Up-to-date knowledge of patient rights and ability to respect cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values [Required]
- Up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements [Required]
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
- Demonstrated clinical competence in areas of robotics, gyn, urology, and orthopedics [Preferred]
- Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures both organizational and departmental regulatory standards [Preferred]
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills [Preferred]
