Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4p. No Call Required.
- Coordinates daily transportation operations, including dispatching and routing to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Manages incoming transport requests, assigns calls, and optimizes equipment and staff utilization.
- Maintains performance standards by minimizing dispatch times and responding effectively to urgent situations.
- Builds strong customer and interdepartmental relationships through professional communication and service improvement efforts.
- Upholds hospital policies and the SHARE philosophy while promoting teamwork, safety, and high-quality services.
- People Skills: Ability to understand customers’ needs and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner [Required]
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak appropriately in English using good diction, and respond to people’s needs in a pleasant and courteous way as perceived by the customer [Required]
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs. For cost center 9623 must be able to type at least 20 wpm [Required]
- Exceptional communications skills to work with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required]
- Excellent customer service skills required and ability to exemplify the Service Standards [Required]
- Must be able to use computer for patient information and basic department clerical functions [Required]
- Ability to lead a team, coach for improvement and recognize positive behavior [Required]
