Location: 608 East Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-5pm
Responsible for ensuring the quality of multi-system patient care by leading, organizing, planning, and coordinating education and staff development, clinical processes, and policies and procedures for the department. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships. Additionally, this role ensures staff adherence to the Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. In addition, this position oversees the implementation of clinical processes and policies to maintain high standards of care. Additionally, this role collaborates with various departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations. Contributes to the overall effectiveness of the department through diligent oversight and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Assesses staff education needs and plans, develops, schedules, and performs continuing education and competencies.
- Supervises department educators to ensure quality and effectiveness of training programs.
- Reviews and assists in revising training materials as needed.
- Stays current with standards, policies, protocols, technology, and research to maintain effectiveness and serve as a staff resource.
- Ensures department compliance with current regulatory standards.
- Works with staff to implement action plans for performance improvement. Participates in the education of orientees using various instructional methods to accommodate individual learner needs.
- Ensures competency completion of orientees before they provide unsupervised patient care and oversees orientee and student clinical assignments.
- Maintains membership on the Advisory Council for local respiratory therapy programs.
- Manages department policies and procedures, including placement on the hospital intranet.
- Maintains good working relationships and open communication with administrative staff, department and hospital staff, and local respiratory therapy program instructors.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure continuity of patient care and applicable clinical and infrastructure technology.
- Serves and participates on interdisciplinary committees and teams.
- Attends and participates in leadership and educator meetings to facilitate communication in the department.

Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:

Licenses and Certifications:
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required] OR NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]

Pay Range:
