The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for delivering pre-hospital emergent and non-emergent care to patients. This position follows established policies, procedures, and medical protocols within the scope of training. Additionally, this role utilizes professional discretion and independent judgment. In addition, this position ensures compliance with state, facility, and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, this role collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. This position contributes to the overall effectiveness of emergency medical services through diligent performance of assigned duties .

Completes patient care reports, billing reports, and other required documentation per established guidelines.

Follows established policies, procedures, guidelines, medical protocols, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Assists higher-trained personnel in providing effective care.

Provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, bystanders, and other response agency personnel.

Supports community service and relationship functions as requested by leadership.

Maintains ambulance and medical equipment in a state of readiness.

Communicates effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and other emergency responders.

Participates in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Adheres to confidentiality and privacy regulations regarding patient information.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide care to ill and injured patients.

Performs assessments based on training and medical protocols to determine and apply treatment and transport methods.

Drives ambulance safely and defensively, obeying traffic rules and regulations.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

High School Grad or Equiv

Licensed in the state of practice

Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT)

Basic Life Support (BLS)
