Role Description This full-time, on-site Certified Medical Assistant role is based in North Port, FL. The Certified Medical Assistant supports providers by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, performing basic clinical tasks (such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection per protocol), and ensuring accurate and timely entry of information into the electronic medical record. The role also includes scheduling, managing patient messages, supporting referrals, and maintaining exam room cleanliness and inventory. The Certified Medical Assistant collaborates closely with clinicians and office staff to promote a positive, safe, and efficient patient experience.

Qualifications
- Strong Medical Assisting skills, including vital signs, clinical procedures, and support for examinations and treatments.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document clinical information.
- Experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, front-desk coordination, and working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills with a focus on safety, compassion, and respect for diverse populations.
- Proficiency in managing Medical Records, including electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) credential and BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
