- Reports complaints, grievances, and events out of the ordinary in the risk events application
- Identifies opportunities to improve the patient and their families’ experience with the Organization, aimed at preventing events that have a negative impact on patient care Identifies opportunities to improve the patient and their families’ experience with the Organization, aimed at preventing events that have a negative impact on patient care Demonstrates the ability to maintain good relationships, face to face and over the phone.
- Must comply with proper phone etiquette.
- Assists with assessing educational needs in clinical areas and develops educational content aligning with organizational goals and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Researches literature and facility policy to ensure educational efforts are aligned with best practices.
- Develops and delivers educational content aligning with the Education Department and organization’s goals and initiatives
- Facilitates scheduled educational activities/inservices and also provides just-in-time training on the patient care units as opportunities arise
- Maintains accurate and organized records of learning activities
- Assists in ongoing development of overall education plan and specific initiatives for the organization
- Provides immediate service recovery using the ACT Recovery Model as needed under the guidance of the Supervisor.
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- in Nursing
Work Experience:
- 3 full-time hospital-based nursing (direct patient care) [Required]
- Additional studies in healthcare administration, marketing and communications or equivalent experience in customer service [Preferred]
- Critical Care Nursing experience [Preferred]
- Experience with conflict resolution and the art of apology [Required]
- Instructional or related experience delivering educational content to adults [Preferred]
- Patient care experience in a variety of clinical specialties in the hospital setting [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
