Job Description:

Advocates for patient safety and protects patients and providers by promoting safe practices and policies. Escalates patient safety concerns to appropriate leadership with honesty and integrity. Acts as an in-house consultant for data and information needs to guide performance improvement. Defines project scope to maintain focus and uses measures to ensure interventions are sustained over time. Communicates regularly with stakeholders about progress toward goal achievement, critical factors, and obstacles. Utilizes and maintains computer applications and databases, staying abreast of new technologies to optimize data analysis and reporting. Develops reports to effectively communicate findings, using software tools to optimize reporting and dissemination of data and results. Identifies and documents current processes, researches best practices, conducts analysis, develops key performance indicators, and creates standard work documents. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to validate processes, identify inefficiencies, and reduce costs through process analysis. Considers financial implications, safety implications, and clinical outcomes when making recommendations and developing policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to apply mature, independent judgment to situations that may arise. Good judgment is essential in prioritization of job responsibilities when unusual situations occur. Consequences of decisions may be extensive. [Required]
  • Frequent independent judgment is required to deal with immediate problems; policies or procedures may not be available. [Required]
  • Ability to influence and persuade teams, up to and including the executive level, to build consensus within and across stakeholder groups (high level negotiation skills) [Required]
  • Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs and beginning skills in analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting of databases and software [Required]
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and issues to facilitate data needs [Required]
  • Ability to create professional presentations for executive leadership teams [Required]
  • Ability to function autonomously with little supervision [Required]
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills [Required]
  • Knowledge of data extrapolation interpretation, and control chart compilation [Preferred]
  • DMAIC principles, including statistical and quantitative process [Preferred]
  • Ability to program, such as VBA or statistical programming [Preferred]
  • High proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software package [Preferred]
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint [Preferred]
  • Advanced Access database skills [Required]
  • Facilitation of various PI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, PDSA, etc.) [Preferred]
  • Solid analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills [Required]
  • Ability to conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical controls [Required]
  • Has knowledge of quality & process improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma [Required]
  • Ability to succinctly translate high-level concepts into actionable items [Required]
  • Awareness of basic project management concepts and methodologies [Required]
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills [Required]
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills [Required]
  • Able to work independently under limited direction and manage multiple projects simultaneously while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork. [Required]
  • Ability to transfer clients’ perceptions of problems into viable solutions. Utilizes diplomacy skills and flexibility in response to clients’ changing concerns. [Required]

Education:
  • Associate [Required]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]

Field of Study:
  • in a healthcare related field

Work Experience:
  • 3 years experience in data analytics/process improvement or healthcare setting [Preferred]
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, quality assurance, or computer programming [Preferred]

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$60,151.66 - $111,886.39
