Job Description:
- Reviews staffing and census of all nursing units to ensure consistency with budget and patient needs, adjusting staff as necessary.
- Facilitates patient admissions and patient flow.
- Makes frequent rounds throughout the hospital to assess and resolve issues and incidents.
- Provides consultation to staff as needed.
- Promotes good interpersonal relations between all departments.
- Assists staff in obtaining equipment and supplies as needed.
- Provides crisis intervention for all hospital departments. Responds to and leads all code events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing [Required] * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required] * Basic computer skills [Required] * Previous nursing management experience [Preferred] * Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical record [Preferred]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required] * Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 3 years experience in acute patient care [Required] * Critical Care or Emergency Department experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] * Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required] * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
Pay: $35.07 - $65.24 per hour
