- Conducts routine staff meetings to review progress, discuss problems, and communicate policy and procedure changes.
- Collects and documents quality improvement data and leads all performance improvement activities.
- Ensures adequate staffing by hiring trained and competent healthcare providers, supervising, scheduling, and assigning duties.
- Evaluates and plans for capital equipment needs, orders supplies and equipment as needed.
- Acts as a communication liaison for the department, exemplifying core values and serving as a role model.
- Ensures staff have the necessary tools to perform their jobs daily.
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates the Cardiopulmonary Department to meet budgetary, productivity, and performance improvement targets.
- Prepares, analyzes, reviews, and monitors personnel, operational, and capital budgets in conjunction with the Director.
- Participates in the hiring process, completes performance evaluations, and provides employee counseling, coaching, and termination per policy.
- Provides orientation for new employees and ensures compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Ensures high-quality service in compliance with federal, state, and local accrediting bodies, including JCAHO.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Management skills and computer proficiency [Required]
Education:
- Associate's [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- in respiratory care
Work Experience:
- 6 years hospital experience [Required]
- 1 years lead/supervisory experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)[Required]
- Texas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) [Required]
- Active NBRC Credential Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]

Pay Range:
