Job Description:
- Confirms patient identification and understanding of procedure prior to starting. Performs thorough and accurate routine and emergency EKGs as ordered by physicians.
- Presents all STAT EKGs to RN immediately after completion.
- Responds immediately to ‘Code Blue’ as required.
- Provides patient with emotional support. Performs specialized testing using computer-assisted devices, including holter/event monitor application, signal-averaged EKG, and treadmill stress tests.
- Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration, and informs biomed of malfunctions.
