Job Description
Technical & Professional Skills
- Mainframe Architecture:Deep understanding of IBM constructs (LPARs, SYSPLEX, CECs, regions, address spaces, WLM, batch/online processing).
- Performance Datasets:Hands-on experience analyzing raw SMF, RMF, CICS, DB2, and workload activity data.
- Consumption Metrics:Expertise in analyzing CPU, MIPS, Rolling 4-Hour Average (R4HA), peaks, and transaction volumes.
- Advanced Analytics:Highly proficient in advanced SQL and hands-on large-scale data analysis/reporting within Snowflake.
- Data Synthesis:Proven ability to integrate disparate operational data sources to build KPIs and trend-analysis models.
- Domain Background:Prior experience in Mainframe Operations, Capacity Management, Performance Engineering, or Production Support.
- Business Translation:Exceptional skills in translating complex technical data into high-level business and modernization insights.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Data Visualization & Storytelling:Experience building enterprise dashboards (e.g., Power BI, BusinessObjects) that translate complex mainframe metrics into compelling, executive-level reduction narratives.
- Advanced Systems Analysis:Strong capability in requirements gathering, data mapping, operational dependency analysis, and structured technical documentation.
- Cross-Functional Alignment:Proven ability to collaborate across infrastructure, architecture, and modernization teams to align technical data with overarching strategic objectives.
