What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Services Director - Independent Living position at Advent Christian Village?
- Manage all dining services for Phillips Dining, the River Landing Bistro, and Independent Living Catering and Hospitality
- Administer policies & procedures for food storage, preparation, and service; equipment and department sanitation; and employee safety
- Ensure that menus and departmental policies conform with nutritional standards, government regulations, and internal procedures
- Inspect food and food preparation and storage areas; monitor food quality; maintain records as needed
- Evaluate departmental and staff performance to ensure that dietary services adhere to established quality standards
- Ensure staff are adequately trained and maintain consistent performance standards
- Oversee all Independent Living and Conference and Retreat catering functions through the Manager of Hospitality
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field strongly preferred; extensive training may be substituted**
- must be willing to complete certified dietary manager / food safety professional program**
- CDM or CFSP required**; CPR required**
