Travel MRI Tech

This travel MRI Tech job in Rochester, NY with Advantis Medical is a 13-week travel MRI Tech contract at Strong Memorial Hospital. This role pays $2,765 per week and follows a Days shift with a 3x12 schedule.

In this travel MRI Tech job, you will support patient care through specialty-specific clinical services, perform assessments and treatments within your scope of practice, document patient progress, operate relevant medical equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to help deliver quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients, visitors, and equipment for MRI safety, including implants and ferromagnetic objects
• Position patients and select the appropriate coils and imaging sequences for each study
• Administer gadolinium contrast when ordered, following facility protocol
• Obtain diagnostic-quality images, adjusting parameters to manage motion and artifacts, and provide completed studies to radiologists

Travel MRI Tech Requirements:

• 2 years of recent MRI Tech experience
• Must hold all required MRI Tech certifications and licenses as mandated by New York and national regulatory bodies

Strong Memorial Hospital — Rochester, NY

Strong Memorial is where upstate New York's most complex cases converge, and the allied workload shows it — a Level I trauma and burn center wrapped around transplant, neuromedicine, and an NCI-designated cancer institute.

• Level I trauma and regional burn-center volume runs CT and diagnostic imaging and the trauma and burn ORs.
• Heart and liver transplant programs generate high-complexity OR, imaging, and procedural cases.
• The NCI-designated Wilmot Cancer Institute carries radiation therapy and dosimetry.
• The Department of Imaging Sciences runs CT, MRI, interventional radiology, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine at academic scale.
• The attached Golisano Children's Hospital (Level IV NICU, pediatric Level I trauma) adds neonatal respiratory and pediatric imaging; cath and EP cover the cardiovascular side.
