Interim Staff Accountant
Irvine, CA | Fully Onsite
$38-$40/hour | Monday-Friday
Temporary (4 Months) with Potential for Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Looking for your next accounting contract? We're hiring an experienced Staff Accountant to support a growing accounting team during a leave of absence and increased workload. If you enjoy solving reconciliation issues, working with large volumes of financial data, and taking ownership of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Perform high-volume account and cash reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries
- Record new lease transactions and maintain lease schedules
- Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
- Track lease payments and reconcile activity to the correct bank accounts
- Review financial records to ensure accuracy
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of Staff Accountant or General Ledger accounting experience
- Strong background in account and cash reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Great Plains experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively
