Role Description
We are seeking a CNC Drilling Machine Technician for a full-time onsite based in South Plainfield, NJ. The technician will be responsible for:
- Preventive Maintenance: Performing regularly scheduled maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, checking sensors) to prevent machine failure.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in CNC Drill machines.
- Component Replacement: Repairing or replacing worn-out parts like ballscrews, spindles, servos, transformers, and wiring.
- Technical Documentation: Using blueprints, manuals, and schematics to understand, repair, and calibrate machinery.
- Documentation & Safety: Documenting all repairs in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Working with production teams to minimize downtime and assisting with operator training.
The role includes adhering to safety protocols, monitoring machine operations, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of work.
Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 2 years of experience maintaining CNC machinery.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair issues with servo motors, drives, and PLC components.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure in urgent "machine down" situations.
