Advantek is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our U.S. manufacturing site. This role will serve as a strategic partner to site leadership and oversee employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, training, workforce planning, and employment compliance.
The HR Manager will support both salaried and hourly employees and maintain a visible presence across the office and production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with site leadership on workforce planning, organizational needs, employee engagement, and personnel cost budgeting.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation for hourly, salaried, technical, and temporary employees.
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance concerns, corrective action, workplace investigations, and policy interpretation.
- Lead the performance-management process and provide coaching to supervisors and managers.
- Support compensation reviews, benefits administration, payroll changes, leave administration, and workers’ compensation matters.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, job descriptions, personnel records, and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and recordkeeping requirements.
- Partner with Operations and EHS to support workplace safety, return-to-work programs, and employee training.
- Track HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, absenteeism, staffing, overtime, and recruitment activity.
- Lead employee-engagement, retention, training, and development initiatives.
- Support internal, customer, quality, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years in a leadership or HR business-partner role.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or operational workforce.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, and U.S. employment compliance.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising managers on corrective action.
- Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience with hourly workforce recruitment, temporary staffing, FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, payroll, or timekeeping.
- Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, IATF, or other manufacturing and quality standards.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
