Job Summary
Advantage Transport Solution Inc. (ATS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our Texas warehouse team. This position is responsible for receiving inbound shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, inspecting products, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting daily warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label, sort, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as assigned.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and filing.
- Keep receiving docks and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse receiving or inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WMS experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution.
- Experience using barcode scanners or RF scanners.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
