Automotive Service Technician / Auto Mechanic

Advantage Toyota of Valley Stream is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our high-performing service team. What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and service Toyota vehicles and other makes with efficiency and accuracy

• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tire services, and multi-point inspections

• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues

• Provide accurate labor and time estimates for recommended repairs

• Perform New York State vehicle inspections in compliance with state regulations

• Inspect vehicles and ensure all work meets dealership and manufacturer standards

• Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members to deliver excellent customer service

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (dealership experience preferred)

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and technology

• Valid New York State Inspector License required

• ASE certifications are a plus (Toyota certifications highly valued)

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop

• Team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
