Product Design and Release Engineer

• Lead the design, development, and validation of driveline and axle components (axles, RDM, PTU, T-case, prop shafts, half shafts, brackets, etc.) from concept through production.
• Serve as the single point of contact for supplier engineering, overseeing technical deliverables, test plans, and timing.
• Develop and execute DVP&R and DFMEA for driveline and axle systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and performance requirements.
• Prepare engineering documentation, including EBOMs, models, drawings, and design change reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis for failures, support warranty/cost reduction initiatives, and collaborate with manufacturing on production issues.
• Coordinate design reviews, simulations, and validation activities across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Support global collaboration with suppliers and internal teams; may travel up to 20% (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia).

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 5 years of experience in automotive driveline, axle, or powertrain design and validation.
• Strong background in DVP&R, DFMEA, GD&T, and CAD tools (NX or CATIA).
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced English (written and verbal).
• Leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and suppliers.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, vehicle architecture, and quality systems.
• Preferred: Experience with CAE/CFD, CAN communications, casting/molding processes, and Stellantis systems.
• Green/Black Belt in Shainin or DFSS a plus.
