Job Title: OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – VERTICAL MARKETS

Location: Jacksonville, FL (remote with travel)


I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Advantage Sport & Fitness, Inc. (ASF), headquartered in Ithaca, NY, provides premium fitness equipment and customized fitness space design solutions for commercial facilities across the East Coast, from Maine to Florida. We are seeking an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our sales team and represent ASF throughout Northern Florida, including Jacksonville and Tallahassee, and Eastern Georgia along the I-95 corridor. This role will focus on all commercial vertical markets, excluding Education and Hospitality.

The ideal candidate lives in or near the Jacksonville area, possesses a proven track record in outside commercial sales, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced, performance-driven organization. This position reports to the VP of Sales and works independently while collaborating with internal teams in business development, marketing, design, operations and customer support.

The assigned territory may evolve based on business needs.


II. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

A. Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients at all levels
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication
  • Ability to represent the ASF brand with integrity and enthusiasm

B. Sales and Technical Skills:

  • Proven success in outside sales, preferably within athletics or the fitness industry
  • Skilled in lead generation, consultative selling, and negotiating
  • Comfortable using CRM platforms and business technology tools
  • Ability to develop and present detailed proposals and facility layouts

C. Organizational and Planning Skills:

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a competitive drive
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, semi-autonomous role
  • Attention to detail in managing projects, travel schedules, and client communication

D. General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently while managing a self-directed sales schedule.
  • Ability to travel weekly throughout the assigned territory for on-site meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving credentials in accordance with company policy.
  • Experience in fitness equipment, athletic sales, commercial facilities, or related B2B markets is a plus.


III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Sales Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, industry events, and referrals
  • Meet and exceed sales targets while adhering to company pricing and profit guidelines
  • Consult with clients on facility needs, equipment options, and spatial layouts
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations
  • Represent ASF at tradeshows, conferences, and regional networking events

B. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and post-sale support
  • Provide ongoing product training and education to customers
  • Manage customer interactions and follow-ups through company CRM tools

C. Team Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Communicate sales pipeline and project status to leadership
  • Collaborate with business development, design, and operations teams to fulfill client needs
  • Attend regular sales meetings, virtual webinars, and internal trainings
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge


IV. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base salary (commensurate with experience) commission for the first 12 months: $52,00-78,000 Commission. After year one, the role transitions to a commission-based compensation structure with draw and bonus potential.
  • This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. The position is intended to qualify for the outside sales exemption based on the duties and responsibilities of the role.

  • Reimbursed business expenses, including travel, lodging, meals, and mileage


V. HOURS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a remote position ideally based in the Jacksonville, FL area, with weekly travel throughout the assigned territory. Candidates must be comfortable working from a home office, managing their own schedule, and conducting on-site meetings in a variety of commercial settings.
