SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for supporting the Quality Manager while providing quality-related assistance. This position is primarily administrative, with most duties performed in an office environment; however, the role also requires regular interaction with and support of the production floor to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency are maintained.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Control Analyst plays a vital role in the organization’s business operations by supporting quality processes and ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Generates all applicable documents (i.e., material certifications, plating certifications) which are to accompany customer shipments.
- Assists with customer communications on quality questions and concerns.
- Support the development, implementation, and tracking of 8D reports, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and rework activities.
- Maintains monthly quality metrics/ KPIs.
- Maintains and tracks scrap numbers.
- Uses their excellent computer skills to assist in the creation, revision, and control of quality system documentation.
- Monitor archived documents in accordance with the document retention schedule and coordinate proper disposal when retention periods expire.
- Support IATF 16949 quality management system requirements and activities.
- Assist with internal audits, process turtle diagrams, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Develop, implement, and maintain mold setup instructions and electronic setup process sheets.
- Collect, review, and maintain all required PPAP documentation in accordance with customer requirements and AIAG standards.
- Participate in or lead special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager, including responsibilities that are logically related to the Quality Control Analyst position.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Create and interpret graphs, charts, and reports.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to building positive working relationships by assisting coworkers with quality-related questions and concerns.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
