Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processing Assistant to join our local credit union mortgage team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with local lending staff, title companies, and the funding team in a relationship-focused environment. This is an onsite position in Pocatello, Idaho.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Loan Coordinators in ordering and tracking third-party services including appraisals, title, verifications of employment (VOEs), and flood certifications
- Support Loan Coordinators in preparing closing documentation and working with title companies to deliver closing document packets for closing
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready loan files in accordance with credit union and NCUA expectations
- Provide timely and professional communication to internal staff and members
- Handle daily servicing functions for internal loan portfolios and third-party sub-serviced accounts
What We’re Looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 year of mortgage, banking, or financial services experience preferred
- Basic understanding of the mortgage loan process from application to closing
- Familiarity with mortgage documentation (income, assets, credit) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication and follow-up skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support shared goals
