Position Responsibilities
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will assist individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and personal choice.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, mobility support, transfers, positioning, and meal assistance
- Encouraging social engagement, companionship, and emotional well-being
- Assisting with household responsibilities including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
- Supporting clients with behavior management, supervision, redirection, and goal-oriented activities when needed
- Monitoring client safety and providing appropriate support throughout daily routines
- Maintaining accurate communication regarding changes in a client's condition, needs, or behavior
- Protecting client privacy and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Creating a supportive, respectful, and person-centered environment that promotes independence and self-determination
