Basic Job Functions:

- Follow company and OSHA safety proc e dures
- Attend safety meetings and participate in safety program
- Maintain industrial machinery and equipment- daily inspections, reporting defects or needed repairs to supervisor
- Moves, assembles, installs, or dismantles machinery. Mill maintenance; change hammers, pin protectors, grates, and Mill castings
- Operate fork lift, skid steer, loader, manlift mobile crane, and overhead hoist
- Change bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts, sprockets, drive chains, hydraulic hoses, hydraulic cylinders, and hydraulic motors.
- Analyze plans for new equipment. Troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary
- General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard
- E f fectively communicate over radio with teammates for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures
- Willing to cross-train and assist other teammates as needed. Other duties as assigned by your manage r .
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5 years maintenance experience
- Extensive torching, welding, air gouging, and fabrication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to details.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to be flexible and display a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work Monday to Friday 4:30pm-5:00am and Saturdays as required
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must wear all necessary PPE while working or while in the yard.
- Willing to learn, be adaptable and be self-motivated
- Hydraulic systems experience and interpreting diagrams/blueprints or willingness to learn these skills.
- Certification in welding, and specilized equipment operation
- Bilingual preferred- Spanish
