Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Snow Plow Driver to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating snow plowing equipment to clear roads, driveways, parking lots, and walkways during winter storms. Your proactive approach will ensure safe passage for residents, clients, and staff while maintaining the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment efficiently to clear snow from designated areas
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of vehicles and plowing machinery, including mechanical checks and safety features
- Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation and improve safety
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely snow removal across multiple sites
- Perform routine maintenance on plow trucks and power tools to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with landscaping, lawn care, tree trimming, and general landscape maintenance during off-peak seasons
- Use hand tools, excavators, and other landscaping equipment for site preparation and clean-up tasks
Experience
- Prior experience operating snow plowing equipment or similar machinery is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs
- Familiarity with landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance enhances versatility in this role
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, excavators, or construction equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of tree care, irrigation systems, hardscape installation, or mowing contributes to broader outdoor maintenance responsibilities
